Infinity Building & Maintenance Ltd (IBM) are a facilities management company who provide facilities management services to both public and private sector businesses in London, Kent and surrounding areas. When IBM contacted me, they already had a Website up and running but it was incomplete and didn’t tick all their boxes regarding form and functionality. The Website required a redesign to enhance the look and provide all the features it needed to achieve its intended purpose. Many of the pages either had little or no textual content, lacked structure and struggled to perform adequately.
Features which needed to be implemented in to the new design included an attention-grabbing header, a fixed background and main menu and a contact form. Other requirements included a multi-field online application form and a logo facelift. IBM was keen to promote the fact that they primarily operate in London and that they offer a wide range of services. Their original Website design displayed the background image between the blocks of page content. IBM wanted this feature incorporated into the new design.
The new Website was built using the existing Joomla CMS platform which saved on development time and consequently, cost. The Website includes all the custom features requested including a visually appealing graphic header depicting London and animated text and modules to attract interest. All the company’s services and unique selling points are displayed using animated modules. A fixed menu remains on display as the Website user scroll down the page. To retain brand consistency, the colour scheme used throughout the Website design is based on that of the logo.
