About Sofia

Sofia is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Bulgaria, with a population of 1,270,010 (making it the 14th largest city in the European Union), and some 1,386,702 in the metropolitan area, the Capital Municipality.[1] It is located in western Bulgaria, at the foot of the mountain massif Vitosha, and is the administrative, cultural, economic, and educational centre of the country.

The St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is a Bulgarian Orthodox cathedral in Sofia. Built in Neo-Byzantine style, it serves as the cathedral church of the Patriarch of Bulgaria and is one of the largest Eastern Orthodox cathedrals in the world, as well as one of Sofia's symbols and primary tourist attractions.

Why Buy

Low property prices, beautiful countryside, historic towns and unchanged rural traditions. The cost of living is also low and makes other countries like Turkey look expensive. With Bulgaria now in the EU, the country's infrastructure and foreign investment has increased significantly making it a true property hot spot.
